Respirators

What kind of Respirators types and filter do i need to get for making soft plastics? What brand? What place sells them? Thank you

When I do use a respirator it's a 3M with 6001 NIOSH filters
Altho I almost never need it cuz I have a Knock down drag out EVAC system

I also do not use them I have a great big exhaust system .

Safety First,

Depending on your pouring area needs for eliminating toxic fumes a respirator is a good thing to have.
As the Guys noted they have a adequate venting system but still have a respirator on hand

Here is a picture of the exhaust system that I use in my shop it will literally suck all the hate right out of the room within two minutes .

Never poured plastic baits. But I do get down and dirty everyday build code vessels. 99.97% filtration on metal fumes,metal particles and Dust...

3M 8293 - P100 Particulate filter. These are considered disposable, but last a long time, with care. Sort of square looking, and easy to breathe through. A little more than some, $8-10 each, depending on where you get them .
These are not rated for some vapors, and only a cartridge, professional type, truly is .
It is however rated for metal fumes, uranium and plutonium. So they are tops, in the disposable line.
Take it from a guy with COPD, and on full time oxygen, if there's ANY doubt in your mind, that your exaust system doesn't keep you 100% safe, wear proper PPE.
