Falls Lake 3/4/2018

Well Gang we fished Falls Lake Today. There was not a tournament this weekend so I wanted to look around Falls Lake for the Tournament on St. Pat's Day. I was going to fish yesterday but the heave winds made me stay home.

Also I had and old friend fish with me that I have need seen in about 7 years or so.

We Started out in the back of Ledgerock looking for shallow fish since that has been the key for they last couple weeks, but not a bite. Then took a look up in one of the lick creeks (there are two of them on this lake) but it was too windy.

Finally ended up in New Light Creek. Once we dropped the baits down in deeper water we fish some fish willing to bite.

No Big Tournament style fish but we were able to get a mess of eaters for my friend. :D

HOPEFULLY we can get on some big ones next week at Harris Lake and defend our win from a couple weeks ago!!!

Good job Tony. With less than two weeks before the tournament on Falls, there will be a lot of us trying to figure out where the crappie have gone. I heard on the weather report that we will have two weeks of cooler than normal temperatures, so it will be interesting trying to find the big spawning fish.

Glad you found them Tony, Falls is tough lake... was gonna try Eno soon, will keep yall updated..

I banked fished the Eno today for about 4 hours looking for some white bass. Only caught white perch and a few small crappie. Water was a little muddy. A guy at the ramp said they caught a bunch of crappie up in the flat. Tony I have heard that the crappie were biting pretty good at the ledge rock ramp at night. I wonder if they are holding up in the creek channel? They should be up in little lick any time now. Good luck next weekend. I will let yo know if I get any good reports.

Im fishing Falls for the first time this weekend. Will be putting in at Ledge Rock ramp. Any advice for a noobie to the lake. I have side scan chirp and down chirp with structure scan as well on the new boat so I will be on the scout for some slabs..... will take pics and post for you guys when I get back.... starting out chunkin for prespawn bass but will have the ultralights and crappie hardware and minnows of the boat also.....

Any new reports here? Will be bank fishing this weekend. Learning falls lake so any spots to try are appreciated!
