Went by there about a week ago water was like coffee with a ton of creamer in it and there was tree stumps/logs floating everywhere.. was thinking it should start clearing up a bit by now.

Coon went up 0.3 ft. In the past 24 hrs. and even tho I haven’t seen it, it’s got to be very muddy as I went to Lemon today and it was pure mud and Creek that feeds it is still dumping muddy water into it. Went over Monroe via the causeway and Monroe came up overnite 0.1 ft and it’s pure muddy and as far as I could see into the main lake, it was muddy also. When I launched it was 36 degrees, fished 3 hrs wind blowing 8-10 mph, water temp was 46 and sunny, caught 6 crappies to 11 inches releasing them all long lineing jigs and called it quits. It’s going to be a couple of weeks to clear as long as we don’t get a lot more rain, but it’s in the forcast every 3-4 days with wed. cold front coming back with highs in the 30s and lows in the upper 20’s warming to 50 by Sat, but rain again. We are still in winter pattern and my fish came along Creek channel in 15’-20’ of water about 8’-10’ down or alittle deeper. Got my fix so will wait a while before I get the boat out again.
oh well guess I will wait while then, got my fix yesterday went to neighbors pond caught 6 bass and 2 big bluegill but no crappie.. Pond has crappie but not a lot of them, when you catch one its generally 13-15 in. long.
It’s going to get nasty cold again. I wished this weather would straighten out a bit. Darned muddy everywhere and when the Wabash and Ohio goes down the Corps will start releasing water and dropping these lakes back to winter pool and pull muddy water everywhere.
It's going to be a mess once they open them all up. Maybe a early mushroom season can occupy some time if things can get on track.
