Crappie USA tournament
Congratulations to Henderson and Reynolds (jordan limit and partner) for their second place finish in the amateur division of the Crappie USA tournament held on Lake Wylie this Saturday. E. Duke (Southern Crappie Rods) and his partner won the pro division.
Attended the weigh in and saw some nice fish weighed in for it to be such a windy day.

Thanks Polarcrafter for the mention. Me and Jordan Limit have the benefit of advice and assistance from some of the best crappie fishermen/women in all of the US by fishing the local NC tournaments put on by Rod with Big-Eye-Crappie Man, and Capp with Carolina Crappie Association. We would not have stood a chance without interaction with competitors in the local tournaments; many thanks to all!!!
The NC teams represented well: Todd Magee and partner took 1st place in the amateur division and as mentioned above our guru Ed Duke took 1st place in the pro division.
This was a bucket list dream to compete in a national tour event and I am still "spiked up" by the adventure.
Again thanks to all (yes I talking about you too MacCrappie:big grin)

Tow of the nicest guys around. This finish isn't surprising to me, these guys have worked harder at catching fish the past few years as anyone I know. This board has benefited from them and they're asset to anyone that fishes the Raleigh area lakes. ( really anyone that reads the boards and study those screenshots ). As I said in the text message, congratulations Men on a well deserved finish.

Thanks Jack for the kind words. I took some screenshots on Saturday, but left the SD card in the Solix. With the temp's turning cool again, the screenshots clearly show a number of the fish have moved back out a ways from the shallow.
Look at the data below from the temp gauge at the Jordan Lake dam since Valentine's day. The last column is the water temperature. Remember the gauge is not located at the surface, but about 8' or so down.
