Helix transducer depth
New member here with my first question. Having used sounders since the first flasher came out this Helix has me stumped. My other sounders had a setting so you can correct the depth reading by making a setting to the depth the transducer is below the water line. The Helix has that setting but they say it is for lake pool level. I am going to export my soundings to AutoChart Pro and wonder if I should not use this setting to make the correction. I have a Helix 10 SI Mega G2N on the console and it's transducer is 1 foot below the water on the stern and the same unit on the bow tm which runs 2.5 feet deep so the depth readind are different and neither are the right depth. Am I missing something or over thinking this?

1st change User Mode under the Setup tab to Advanced ...
Then farther down in same setup tab is "Depth Offset" for adjusting digital depth readout to compensate for xducer depth in water ...
-----
"Water Level Offset" under the Chart tab is to adjust map spot Soundings to match actual water depth observed in digital depth readout ...
-----
"Depth Offset" should always be adjusted before adjusting "Water Level Offset" ...

Thanks Rickie. I use Advanced mode all the time don't know how I missed that. Probably been through that Setup menu dozens of times and that didn't even light a light bulb in the old brain.
