Tracker pro team 175 tf prop, Help!!

I got a 10 3/8 X 14 Apollo (Michigan wheel) stainless steel prop for Christmas and ran it for the first time and not happy with the results. Now I used the #Iboats.com prop selector and put in my info Merc 10 3/8 x 14 three blade that ran 6,000 rpm 32-33 mph (two in boat). The selector stated for me to get the Apollo and my rpm will be 4750 and top speed 42+ - .Well I'm at 51-52000 and top speed 31-33 mph with just me in it and nothing in live well !! I called #Iboats.com on Tuesday(2/27)and they said it was past date of return so sell it on #eBay or something and try again !!! Anyone have any ideas or options as having it repitched is about $100.00 It's only got a couple of hours on it and looks and is brand new !!!!

What size motor. I would think 60hp maybe? I don't know of any prop that decreases rpm by over 1000 and increases speed more than 10 mph.

Thanks telfire, Sorry, I have the 60hp four stroke on the tracker and I didn't post it correctly on the rpm as #IBoats had the rpm at 5750 not 4750. I pulled the ss prop off and put on the factory alum back on and have it only as a spare until I get this figured out. Its a big performance difference from my Taho s/f 150efi and I know this (6th boat) but I needed a smaller/lighter boat as age is something we all deal with.

Is your speedometer correct? You say you dropped 800-900 RPM's compared to your original prop, but you gained no MPH. If your fish finder has GPS, see if it reads your speed. Something doesn't sound right to me. But I could be wrong.

Normally a stainless prop of same size as aluminum is going to drop rpm about 150 or so rpm and only increases speed 1-2 mph. Now one thing you need to do, going from aluminum to stainless is ( assuming your motor is mounted low to start with ) raise motor one bolt hole on transom. Stainless bites so much more with less slip than aluminum you need a little bit of surfacing for it to spin up properly and get proper performance. Like buzz saw said, need to get speed from GPS not speedo. Most if not all speedo's are very inaccurate. RPM's need to be up around 5700-5800 for best performance.

I'm going off my gps as far as the speed goes and looked at were the lower unit sits in reference to the step of the hull and the prop looks to be running close to the water surface. Now its still at the factory setting (top hole on transom) so if anyone that has a 175 tf of txw has moved theirs please let me know. I've put my alum prop back on and going to run it soon(weather permitting ) and see were its at again and then swap the props and compare taking a stop watch and pencil /paper to keep track of all rpm/speed at different intervals. I don't understand loosing about 800 rpm to the ss over the alum as I expected to loose 2-3 hundred as that's what I've lost in the past when going between the two. Now I've dropped down one pitch on going from alum to ss to keep in a power range but never this much. Will keep post updated as how my findings go.

Went out to try and compare props but only got 1/2 way done as the weather got the best of me . Air temp was 39deg and water 42 with a 10-15mph wind it was a little rough getting good info. With the 10 3/8 x 14 three blade oem Merc prop- plane 5.2sec(aprox) at 5800 rmp - gps speed 33.3 couldn't get pic when I got to 6000 as I was running in poor conditions as the third pic shows. Now I replace the plugs as they were original (5yrs old) and it seams to idle smother, so I'll test the ss prop when the weather improves.
