The Best Fishing is with Kids

Introducing the amazing Net Girl. Her catch line is "You haven't caught it 'till it's in the net." She catches the most fish every time we go because she always wants to be the Net Girl.

We trolled jigs for about 2.5 hours on Saturday and I reeled in about 30 fish and Net Girl caught all of them. I made her reel one into the boat, but she likes netting better.

She is the best partner a father could ask for. A candy bar and some steady fish action make for a great time on the water.

I really enjoy the time I spend on the water with my kids. I only take one at a time so we can really talk or just be with one another because it's a free for all at home with three of them under 10 years of age. Quiet soft talk is rarely an option with the other two being loud boys.

I think the photos show the reason - for all of it that we do as fathers.

That's good stuff....mine loves to troll and lays in the floor and plays toys until ones hooked, then she takes over. Lol.

A very good post, I'm a father of 2 girls, and a grandfather to 4 girls. Even the dogs is female!!. When I sit and think back sometimes, the memories of the trips when the girls were that age always bring a smile, and sometimes a laugh out loud. Still working on building some with the Granddaughters, one this coming Saturday. THIS is what it's all about!!
