You sure don't have to go far to find any on Pomme.
Find out where you're going to launch, and look at the bottom structure on the Navionics chart. Areas of standing timber are also noted.

I've been doing good on timber that is right near the river channel.
was going to suggest getting a map or map card for the depth finder.
Thanks guys, I was kinda hoping for some spots people have had success in
the best advice I can give you is tour the lake, pay attention and learn on your own, you will be better off for it, I have only fished pomm 4 times, two without any advice, and two with help, done well all four times. go for it.
You will not find the big timbered flats like at Truman but there is plenty of timber and brush along the bluffs all over the lake. The fishing can be excellent at Pomme and you can normally find a spot out of the wind. I live really close to Stockton but there is no hiding from the wind there and it not worth the risk. I agree with Beagle, just get out there and start exploring it's small enough you can cover a lot of territory quickly. I normally fish out of Bolivar Landing, Nemo, or Pittsburg Park (Normally based on which way the wind is blowing). Good Luck
Thanks guys, all good advice
I fish Pomme alot,if you put in on the upper ends of the lake, going up towards the rivers, watch your depth finder cause you can be stuck in the mud pretty fast.Or knock a lower unit out also, but that said, fishing is good all over that lake.Trees in the back of coves and along bluffs everywhere. They have been keeping the lake 2 ft high the last couple of years in the spring so get a map of the lake to find these trees, most have broken off at the old water level.Good fishing to you.
Made it out again tonight.
Water was still fairly clear, but high. 90% of the trees that I've been fishing are now underwater, lake is about 3 feet higher than it has been.
Same story as before, shad in the deep river channels, fish near them, water temp 39 degrees.
