It was a nice day yesterday temp was in the mid twenties, so my wife and I went Panfishing. She whooped my butt in the catching department,I had a couple of major tangles and managed to knock my favorite ice Rod&Reel down the holerotflit took a while to snag it back out,as she just keep on reeling fish in.lol
We ended up keeping 10 in the 8" range, that will be a couple of meals for the two of us.

What were you using and how deep.
14 feet of water over a soft mud type bottom, we were using 1/16 ounce jigs with waxy's, bite was on and off,definitely off when you get a pike roaming around area.
I'm borderline jealous :),our ice left a few weeks ago,I guess I will have to fish this lousy soft water.
I have been having similar results results in 15 FOW. If a bass or pike shows up in the area the Gill fishing stops.Quote:
