search?

How do you use the search function? Seems to be overloaded with a lot of clutter?

This is how I search:

1) Click "Advanced Search"

2) Click "Search Single Content Type". (The multiple content tab is for searching content in addition to posts. I never use this, since I only search for posts.)

3) Fill out as much or as little of the boxes as you like. I usually just search for a keyword (or words.) Sometimes, I search for a keyword and the user name.

For example, if I wanted to see everything Alphahawk has written about his beloved JDM rods, I could search for the keyword "JDM" and the user name "Alphahawk". The search function doesn't like short words like "JDM", so I changed the keyword to "mebaru", and I get this:

So, if you can't find what you're looking for, try different (but similar) terms.

You can also just search whatever forum content by using the search forum at top right hand side of each forum click on it to do search.:twocents
