rigging tube jigs
I been asked many times how I rig my jigs . I use bigger tubes like the 2'' Umbrella Tubes made by Southern Pro on bigger 1/8 oz insert unpainted heads made by Timmy Tom Jigs. Always check lead for burrs and remove if needed . A little lube , fishing scent or in a pinch spit helps . The jigs look more natural , saves money no using painted heads but best of all tubes tend to last much longer and no stopping to push them up while fishing . Sometimes If I don't hang it up and take care removing fish I can catch a limit on one tube , This video is small tubes and jig heads but you can get the idea loading a tube with a jig head . Heck yes, I love that rigging technique. I will definitely start using it. Thanks again Nimrod for a great tip..

You can actually get jigs made to go in the tubes, the led is a little more torpedo shaped so that it slides in the tube. You make a great point about keeping the tube on better and not having to adjust it every time.

Nimrod, what size hooks do you like? I’ve always just used the tube jig heads from Southern Pro.

Time to test the theory that the jig head color difference has no advantage? So mush of my fishing is a ritual that it has a superstitious element to it.
