Night fishing question?

Ok, I looked at all the past post on this... Here is my scenario and I want to know how deep to fish the shiner under a cork?
Tonight
1/4 moon rise at 7ish
Fishing on the bank/boardwalk 6pm to midnight
Minnows/cork
Water clarity down to 1'
4-10' water after that drops off to 18' pretty quick
Fallen tree with top limbs about 2' under the water and is in 8' of water
I have 2 led spotlights on a post on the bulkhead that shines out to about 8' of water
Will they come up to the top 2 feet of the water column to hit the shiner in 8' to 10' of water?

OK- Water Cat ,,, First Welcome to the Louisiana Forum ---- I think most were hoping you told us how you Did !!!!! First is wind --- With smooth slick water the light shines deeper into the water ---- second is major and minor bite times is when the moon is directly over head or under foot. Minor time is when the moon is on the Horizon . Crappie feed closer to the surface at night. People using Yo-Yos catch in the top 2 feet of water,,, the minnow down 2 feet crappie 4 feet deep can see the minnow against the moon and game on... Please let us know how it works for you---:fish

My brother and I fished from about 6:30 till 8 ish. Prime feeding time in my area was 7:30 to 8:45. Proved pretty accurate. Can't wait until the next moon.
We caught 6 big sacs in about 5' of water. Not real fat..maybe males, but not dark colored..The wind was slick. Cloudy also. It was not fast and furious, but one every 15 minutes or so. All were whites. Thanks for the input. It's storming all day today and tomorrow..prob be Weds before I can try it again.
