When using braided line does anyone use snap swivels for changing lures?

Not me. I tie direct with loop knot or palomar knot.
I often tie on a Speed Snap, FasSnap, etc. to let me quickly change jigs when trying to figure out what color/type the fish want

At this stage in my life it's very hard to do consistently. I was just wondering if they mess up the action and interfere with with bites?
Swivel snaps with braid work! A buddy of mine uses them all the time. Buy a good quality one that has a rating close to that of your line so that you are still able to pull snags loose.
Not with jigs. I use them on my bigger poles while pulling cranks, with a mono leader.
If vertical fishing (and the jighead is not perfectly balanced) a snap will allow the lure to pivot and hang unnaturally. Ideally you want your jig completely horizontal, many times a tight knot will help it stay that way.
I could see why you would with braid since it's harder to cut and tie.
Both jigs and cranks are not really prone to cause line twist. Consequently I always use a snap with crankbaits and a snap hook (Netcraft) for jigs. I never use a "snap-swivel", as I feel it's just too much hardware. Especially with crankbaits, a snap-swivel does dampen the action. Plain snaps are the way to go.
I do not tie direct. Too much trouble. I like to change up my crankbait colors too often to be constantly tying knots. I remove the split rings and go with a small, plain snap. Works very well.
Duo-loc snaps only, no swivels. I use the smallest size that I can either, tie on easily, or open and close easily. As I have gotten older, larger seems necessary :yikes. Also, use silver, black, or red, the fish do not care.
#1 Duo Loc snap on jigs or loop knot #2 Duo Loc on cranks. Never see any use for snap swivel my self. Like Crestliner says, it's not prone to twisting and even if it does its easy to get out and does not kink like mono.
Benn using them since Grampa Piegons was on the Rock Road in Bridgeton (maybe 1945) Still work for me
