I have a 5" dragonfly on my kayak and I fish a lot of saltwater. I've tried changing my settings for crappie and I'm getting there, but it isn't fine tuned. I like the downvision over the sonar, but I think my gain isn't set right. Any advice on where I should set gain, sensitivity, noise?
The Raymarine traffic may be a little light here at present. In time, maybe not. Try BassBoatCentral as there is a Raymarine forum there. Probably other places too but I don't know of them.

I think MonteSS had a Dragonfly ... And he does pop in occasionally ...

I had two Dragonflys....a 4Pro and a Gen1 6
I dont remember having to tweak them a lot to get good images, just the usual routine....run over the same structure trying small adjustments at a time.
From just looking at the display models in BPS a Raymarine was my first choice to buy, but two reasons led me elsewhere. One was the size available then as I realized these eyes could do better with something larger than 7"--esp when splitting screens. Second was the user reports at that time, while very good on the unit, were not so good as to the hardware, bracketry etc. I went with Garmin. Happy with my choice. Raymarine has obviously improved the latter while maintaining the quality of the former (Dragonfly was what was there then).
I have a Dragonfly 7 pro, just moved it upfront and anxious to test it as well as my Axiom 9 on transom mount. I just use factory settings on downvission and sonar for dragonfly. Possibly you may check your ducer angle, but the beauty of dragonflys are graphics and out of box ease of use, let us know
