Harry S. Truman Lake to close Windsor Crossing Campground
Due to underutilization and projected budget restrictions, the camping and beach area will close in an effort to improve other park operating efficiencies and provide quality recreation opportunities for the public. The day-use boat ramp facility at Windsor Crossing will remain open with no operational changes.
I heard rumor a week or so back that Whiteman Air Force base Park and Rec was going to take over the campground and beach. Now I seen this posted on Facebook today but it did not say anything about reopening as a lease to Whiteman. Will be interesting to see what happens. Needs a marina to come in and lease it :)
