Leaning post/ seat replacement

After fishing in the freezing conditions, I’ve cracked some of my seat covers. Was looking to replace with pedestal bases and pin the bottom while driving so the seat won’t twist. Any thoughts or ever seen anything like that? Maybe just direct bolt the seats to the platform...Attachment 287233

I had a captains chair mounted on a pedestal in my celebrity ski boat. It could swivel or lock in place. Pretty common on bigger boats
