Bayou Boeuf south of Lac Des Allemands
I finally got my brother out on the boat this past Sunday and we were able to put some nice fish in the live well. We did not go out and hammer them but some of the ones we caught were very pretty fish and threw back about a dozen smaller fish from 7"-9" along with a handful of bream and two smaller bass. We fished closer to lake Boeuf in some of the canals but they did not produce any keeper fish, I dont believe the water is up enough yet. Most of the canals east of the lake only had about 4' of water in the middle of the canals and water temps were anywhere between 45-48 degrees.
All of our bigger keepers came from the main bayous themselves working about 10' off the bank in about 7-9' of water and the temps in the main bayou were about the same around 47 degrees.
We were throwing 1/16 oz road runner all day, my brother was throwing a purple body with white belly while I was throwing a black body with a green/chartreuse underbelly.
I do wish we could have gotten a picture of standing side by side but unfortunately there was not anyone at the landing when we were loading up......plus his fish a bit bigger.

Im in the blue shirt and have a red Nitro 160 TF....if you see this schmuck on the water then say hello....have Crappie.com sticker by the steering console.
Also most of the fish we cleaned already had eggs in them.....should be getting right real soon.
