Some big slabs

Still on the fish after 17 days off the water. Eileen and I have had some real good days this week. Some of the females are about to explode from their eggs being so far developed. Wow. Full of eggs and those blacks are so dark. Is that normal for this time of year?

Yes it's normal, the water from the St John's river is very dark which is why the fish are dark almost black. The St John's runs through many of the lakes I fish. Water temps today was 52, that is cold for here, it is usually in the 60's in Jan.
