Tried a local flow yesterday for a cpl hours without a bite.Marked a ton of bait as well as some bigger stuff that looked alot like crappie but didnt get any takers.Air temps 33 ....water temps 38 degrees..maybe next time.

That's some cold water ! Keep at it, they have to eat at some point.
They probably are. So much food in one spot they just don't pay attention to what you're trying to give them. :)Quote:

Might be better to use a very light jig that falls very slow and jig it very slow. Some people use small spoons or cleos on the very bottom below the shad.
