What is your favorite for shots at dark?
Leupold 4.5-14 50mm
I have a Redfield 3x9x50 and it sees way past shooting time at 150 yards, evening on bad cloudy days
Leopold 50mm. If price is no problem go with Zeiss or swarovski.( 50mm) if you on a budget Simmons atec is not bad but it will not hold up to big magnum guns

Don't like to shoot at dark if it can be avoided, but When we do a good 40-50 mm scope and the lowest power 3x9 "3" 2x 10-50 mm "2" gathers more light, also works good in foggy conditions.
Leave mine on 9 power most of the time, 99 percent of my shots are over 100 yards, gets to late to see that way I need to leave. shooting time is over at 5:36 this evening, even with it cloudy I will be able to see till 6, need to be gone before that.
Nikon prostaff 7's are the brightest scopes I've seen. I have several $1500+ scopes that are not as bright.
I have a Bushnell Elite 2.5-16x50 that's good for dusk/dawn shooting. I keep it set on 2.5-3 most of the time for a wider field of view. I also have a Millet TRS 4-16x50 illuminated ; it's a decent scope for the money but, it is a heavy rascal.
I've got one one my dad's muzzleloader it's probably been on it for 15ys or more. Got one on his 30-06 It's been on for 10ys. I had one on a 270 that only lasted 2yrs. So it's a roll of the dice. That same 270 has got the good out of a few scopes so I want talk bad about it for that one.
