Anyone fly fish for crappies?

I was woundering if anyone here fly fished for crappies

We do have a FF board, but I'd guess most people FF for bluegill rather than crappie.

I like to do it ever once in awhile during the spawn but that's about it.

That is my favorite time to get out with the fly rod. I use these lil minnow flys that i make myself and they work like magic. Perfect for catching them susspended off a point as well

I tie jigs for a guy who does it on Truman during the spawn with small floats/indicators.

What size do you like to tie for crappies and what type of pattern?

I have good luck with a 1/80 chartreuse deer hair jig, some with a squirrel tail clouser with bead chain eyes.
