Email notifications

I am getting emails that someone has posted in a thread I subscribed to. How do I stop this? I don’t know what “subscribing” is.

Go to your profile...click settings....click unsubscribe.....then check the rest of your settings to be sure they are like you want them

I did that and I still get the emails, how do I unsubscribe or not subscribe when I post?
