I don't know about the Lake. If it's like Ky and Barkley, most everything is froze up. We are going saturday to fish tailwaters below the dam at smithland so those areas may be an option. Last year we were at Green River and went to Lee's Famous Fried Chicken in Campbellsville. Never been to one before so we went cause it was something new to try. Best chicken and livers we ever had at a restaurant.
I'm with KFC on this one. If the creeks of Cumberland are partially frozen over, and some of the creeks/bays of KY Lake & Barkley Lake are frozen over .... a good guess would be that Green is experiencing the same. And they will all likely stay that way (or get worse) as long as these sub-freezing temps hang around.
I just called the Lake Information Hotline ( 270-465-8824 ) and they're reporting water temps of 45deg surface and iced over areas of the lake. Dam output is down to a trickle of 53cfs of 42deg water.
Another factor that will effect fishing on Cumberland will be alewife and threadfin die off
The bottom will be covered with dead bait for months.
Some areas worse than other's
Lee's is the best chicken, especially livers and gizzards. And the Lee's in greensburg is the best by far, quite a bit better than Campbellsville.
Never been to Greensburg, but if its better than Campbellsville then its worth the trip.
