Console Electronics/Depth finder

I have a Bass tracker Pro crappie. I really need to replace the junk console depth/fish finder currently on it. I was thinking that having GPS capabilities on the new one would be a good thing. Appreciate any recommendations you may have. Want something with an easy learning curve as continuing education classes won’t happen. Also I’m not looking to spend my whole social security check on it but understand you get what you pay for.

I have a Humminbird 998 and 597. If it was me I'd look for a good deal on an earlier model Helix 7 for that console.

Might want to look at the Side Imaging units. I noticed that there is a Helix 5 that has side imaging, that isn't extremely expensive. If this heating unit of mine will ever stop breaking, my next purchase will be a SI unit.
