Last trip !
Made our last trip for the year this a.m. Was a bit nippy and very breezy. But the fish were there. Just couldnt stay on em with the wind. Only problem we had was the eyes on the rods kept freezing up and made it hard to get bait down before they froze ! SSRE 18 talked me into this trip and glad we went. Kept 10 or 11 crappie and 25-30 big perch. Kept a ton of small ones for our buddy to have bait next weekend in a tournament. All in all was a fun day. Complaining bout the cold and all the little perch mixed in. The wind was our biggest complaint. Tough at 28 degrees and 10 or better wind. Fishing tightline in 40 to 50 fow. Fish tight on bottom. Perch didn't matter. Chunk it in and they hit it before it got down. Was a fun trip. Has been a good year. Hoping everyone has a great and Happy New Year !Till next year I'm going in where it is warm.

Man your crazy! Great trip and pictures. Glad you'll found some fish. Thanks for the report and I assume you were on spot XXX with no land marks! I hope to get out there Wednesday if I can get in gear to go. PM me a couple specific if I'm wrong in location.:Rofl

Nice catches! I always thought that turning upside down and letting the blood rush to your head makes you feel warmer on those cold days too!

Good job John. I remember a trip in the upper Santee years ago when our lines were freezing in the guides. I guess I've either turned into a wimp or gotten smarter.
