Anybody know if Taylorville is froze?

Army Corp website showing 44 to 46 degrees on Dec. 20. Lots of cold days but it takes a lot to freeze over hard. I wish I knew for sure because that would mean that I haven't been working so much!

I would expect it to have ice, at least around the banks ... but, maybe not, since they've been pulling it at almost 2000cfs to get it back down to Winter Pool after that last rain. (according to the COE chart)

I've only seen it ice up a couple of times, and did see some guys crunching thru the thin surface ice with a metal boat ... but that was many, many years ago, back when I didn't have a boat & went there to fish from the bank (Dec/Jan). If the tree was still there, just off to the right of the Settler's Trace Marina ramp, I'd almost be tempted to go there again. But, it's been gone for several years, likely moved by one of the 20ft rise floods back in those days.
Not iced over, but way more than I expected. Should have went with first instinct and went sauger fishing.

A buddy of mine stopped by Jonathan Creek this AM on his way in to JoJo's Cafe in Benton. He said ice is well east of the Hwy 68 bridge today.
Hate to hear that mrdux! I was thinking about coming down in a week or so just to get on the water. I live in So. Ohio and everything here is iced over with at least 3", given the forecast for this week we'll make ice all week... if this keeps up it may be March before we get open water
Moors resort right now...
