Needing help with transducer mount and cable routing on an older Motorguide Wireless

Guys,
First off I wanted to mount a Garmin Echo Map series transducer on my older Motorguide W75 Wireless trolling motor. The transducer is almost too long to fit on the motor, it will actually hang out over the prop almost .5". Then with the way the shaft slides up and down through the mount, you can't tie the cable to the trolling motor shaft. I am hoping someone has an answer to this. I am looking at another mount possibly for the transducer. How has someone else handled this. I just bought this boat about a month ago and am just now getting around to trying to add a front depth finder. I will brave the cold and get a picture or 2 shortly.

if it remember right its made like a minn kota powerdrive. i have a powerdrive and the way i did mine is secure the transducer cable at the motor and then ran it up to the head and attached a bungee cord at the top on the shaft and about have way down secured it to the transducer cable. i will try and get a pic today. other option is Rickie makes a transducer bracket thats separate from trolling motor. https://www.podunkideas.com/da-ducer-apparatusreg.html
