Everything I read says Summertime. Does it not work in winter if you slow down? Yay or Nay?

One of the factors that I found important in summer is the thermocline. If it is lets say at around 20', I'll get my baits as close to 15 to 18' as I can. The fish try to get as low as they can to get to the cooler water but the oxygen below the thermocline gets kinda sketchy and you won't find many fish that low. Take that out of the picture and I think they might be more scattered. Mr Dux does more of this than i do and might be able to give you better smarts than I can. Good luck whatever you find out.
Thanks Skeetbum. I may be better off just sticking with jigs until next summer.
Not pushing, but 3 way rigging small floaters or jerkbaits has put a ton of fish in the cooler for me 45 deg water or cooler. Especially when fish bunch up on ledges.

Thanks Locator. Sounds like something I need to try.
Ive been catching good fish pushing jigs, just started wondering about crankbaits and why it’s only a summertime thing.
