The Ville 12/10/2017
Haven't posted in a while and the Ville is still producing some nice fish! Been on the north end and haven't went past the Finley bridge. Been fish anywhere from 7 ft to 20 ft of water just off bottom. But you have to be close or in the brushpile. Weapon of choice has been Orange Jubilee from Brushpile Jigs. Water temps we seen was from 39 to 41 degrees. Wilborn Ramp still had its helpful dock in as of 1pm. Attachment 282641

I've fished south end around Eagle Creek from 10-15 ft on laydowns. Caught a ton of fish with several big ones. Went north and fished from 6-12 ft right off the bottom. Caught good fish doing that as well. 1/8oz black jig head with red/chart bobby garland. Fished in the snow flurries and wind and still hammered the fish. Best time of year for crappie IMO.

Nice job, I've been there several times a week as well and have seen your boat. The bite is as good as it gets in my opinion. I'm a jig and tube only guy and love the very shallow cork bite. Right now it's pretty easy to catch a few limits both ways. Why can't we have 40 degree water temps and 75 degree air temps with only a ripple on the surface. rotfl

Easiest time of the year to catch fish. You can fish shallow or deep and the bite is there. Its like having 2 lakes: north of Findlay bridge is one lake and south of the bridge is another. Its UNQUESTIONABLY my favorite time of year. Hardly anybody out there and the bite is HOT on jigs.. Live bait sucks. lol
