December full moon catch

Got out Saturday before the full moon. Catch was pretty good. Even caught a gar on 4lbs line, but the camera died

I was out friday on and can't say saw any good bite starting before the moonrise.

I found the scales were hard as concrete.

You cut them down the back with tin snips and the fillet off the the top , don’t open the innards area , they are typically poisonous...

Ketchn, guess what I did? Went straight for the innards first. I didn't know. I ended up not eating this fish. I hate to throw away a specimen, but looks like it was better that I didn't since you say the innards are poisonous. I was surprised; the fish didn't stink at all.
