Hook 3x on Ascend Kayak

Anyone have any experience with this fish finder on your kayak? Also open to any mod recommendations to an ascend 12t.

I have a Hook 4X on my sit inside Wilderness Systems Pungo 120 that I really like. For the transducer, I mounted a liquid tight box under the seat that I fill with water every time I use it. The battery is stored in a removable box behind the seat. The screen is clear and can be zoomed nicely. The Down Imaging helps clarify what cover I'm seeing. Here's a picture where you can see the school of fish hanging around baitfish on the screen.

I use a Hook 4 on an Ascend 10t. Works pretty well the way I mounted it but everyone is different. I used a Lowrance transducer mount that went through scupper hole but ducer wouldn't tuck up into hole and it dragged and snagged on stuff in shallow water and when loading and unloading. Use pvc pipe now to run transducer over the side from the trac rail. Attachment 281412
