Kentucky rig question

I'm sure this has been talked about before, but I'm too lazy to do all of the searching.

Ok, picture a 1ounce sinker on the very bottom. Now go up about 6-8 inches and you have a bronze Aberdeen minner hook. Go up another 6-8 inches and you have another minner hook. Ok my question is, has anyone ever slid a jig body up the minner hook with the hook coming out of the top of jig, just like you would a regular jig head with jig? It seems like tye weightless jigs would float around more lifelike than if you used weighted jig heads? You could also easily take off a jig and put on a minner.

Yep, most of the time tipped with a minner tho. So much easier.

Yep,I fish like that a lot.Mostly use a tube with that rig filled with nibbles or sometimes tipped with a minnow.

The small solid body bream plastic baits with the rubber band legs works well this way also ... (tipped with a minner) ...

Yep and remember th take the long end back thru the eye and the weight will keep the hook laying out 90 degrees to the line many more hits if bait is not pointing up
