Back out Friday morning to try the catfish. Put in on Big Allison & ran down to power lines to catch some bait(perch). Most were in 30 to 35'. After catching a bunch, I started trolling for cats. Marked a lot of bait down around the power lines but could only get a couple of hits on the cut bait. Should have stayed with the perch since they were good size & hungry. Pretty nice day once it warmed up.
Water temperature was 74.

Thanks Mr. Charles, I hope to get out there this coming week. I need a break from work and deer hunting. Have you tried longlining or tight lining for crappies? I hope to try it Thursday if I can go. May have to try them perch out to if they're hanging around under the power lines. Glad you braved to cold to go to get us a :fish report. :highfive

I have not tried longlining or tight lining but may give it a try early this week if we don't go to wateree chasing stripers.
