Only been crappie fishin for about 3 years now. I saw a new first today. We cleaned a mess of fish and several of them had bellies full of baby frogs! It wasn't just one or two. They were plumb full! Nice catch! I have never seen that happen but am not shocked by it. I have seen most other fish eat them, from trout to catfish. Thanks for sharing.

Crappie like most other predators eat what is available . I have caught Crappie on bare unpainted leadhead to show some guys fish not near as picky as most think . :twocents
Crappie are opportunistic eaters. Put it in front of them and they will eat it.
I’ve caught them on Cicadas when they were hatching around the lakes heavy and falling in the water. Very opportunistic feeders.
Were they baby frogs, or toads?

that is interesting, didn't know they would eat those but can see them doing that as they will go after insect hatches and crawdads.
WTG taking the son out with you and getting the crappie fever going.
I caught some in spring with baby silver dollar sized turtles in their stomach.
