Lowrance Head Upgrade Question

I bought a Lowrance Elite 4 Chirp, I'm wanting a bigger screen. If I buy a new head unit will it work with the transducer I have installed? I realize this transduce does not do side-imaging but that's ok for now.

Units I'm looking at for head swap:

• Hook 5 or 7
• Elite Ti (5 or 7)

I tried to figure this out on my own, and since there isn't much compatibility info on the Lowrance web site I think this means that in general, if the transducer can plug into the unit then the unit can use the transducer but some features may not work (for example plugging a non-chirp transducer into a chirp capable head).
