Motorguide xi5

Just wondering if anyone has one on their boat, and what they think of it. Getting tired of going in circles with my minn Kota , it works, it doesn’t, it works, it doesn’t. Talked to shop, they said minn Kota will replace the brain board, but nothing more. Well that great knowing that the boat shop really doesn’t know what’s wrong with it in the first place. Call minn Kota and talked to Stacy their head man on the units , was told that he wouldn't replace my unit, even though it’s been in the shop for same thing before. Some customer service. Seriously thinking of switching to motor guide and making a video roasting marshmallows over the minn Kota. It’s bad when the boat dealership agrees with me and was trying to get me a new one, and minn Kota won’t budge. I’ve been a minn Kota guy all my life, but can’t say much for them anymore, needless to say last unit I ever buy from them.

I have one on my boat you can try it out this weekend.

Everyone I've talked to about them likes them but I haven't used one. It one time the spot lock was better on the motorguide or so I was told. You are also one of very few I've talked with that has had trouble with minnkoda so how knows. I think you can get a bad one in anything. Good luck with what ever you go with.

I have one on my boat and I wouldn't trade it for anything. It has totally changed the way I fish. I have not used the Min-Kota so I can't compare it to that.
