Clinton 10/14

Went Clinton for first time since march. Water is a few feet low all the structure I fished this winter was on dry land now. Water was 77 to 71. Fish was slow except for one key piece of structure. We caught all fish in one windy spot 12 to 20 foot. Used all out battieries on spot lock going speed of four to five after we lost anchor. Got about 15 keeper a bunch of shorts. Four nice cats and a big sheep. No white bass. Sheep was over 20" on twelve foot rod with slip bobber. Cats were two to six pounds crappie were up to twelve inch both black and hybrid. Partner used jiggin rap, slip bobber, or road runner and minnow combo. I used 1/4 ounce jig and crappie magnet mostly orange and white or pink and white. The cats came on the jigging rap one with the jigging rap being dead sticker over the side

no one else appeared to be catching anything.

thanks for the report water level should come up after the weekend rains going to try and get down there one more time before deer shotgun season
