Takeing old gas out of fuel tank

I am trying to drain all of the gas out of the on board fuel tank on a 180 lowe boat. The tank is under the bench seat. I took the fuel line off at the back of the boat hoping it would just drain out that way no luck there. Then tried to put a long tube down the filler spout but it was stopped right at the tank. I have a 12 volt pump hopping it will work by connecting to the open fuel line in the back of the boat. Does anyone have any other ideas. I may have to take the seat out. I think there is a inspection plate I may be able to take off too get into the top of the tank. Thanks for any info Jim C.

Disconnect the fuel line at the motor and connect a 12 volt fuel pump to it and pump it out. You probably can get one at a junk yard.

Thanks I have a 12 volt pump & the small tube should fit inside of the fuel line coming of the tank will put a clamp to make a tight fit just need time to do it . Thanks Jim C.

Undo at motor, remove hose from barb, and pump bulb. Fuel will stream out.

I got all mine out using a electric fuel pump hooked to the fuel line

I've done it like broharrell says. Disconnect at motor, remove fitting that connects to motor and pump it out with bulb. Easy.

Thanks for the info. Had some tome today and pumped the tank. Used the 12 volt pump I ordered for 20 dollars worked good took a while only 1/4 in. line. Thanks again Jim C.
