I am planning a trip to Lake Moultrie this month to try a little crappie fishing. Any suggestions on boat ramps, fishing technique, and starting point would be appreciated. I will be staying in Summerville. Thanks for any input.

Earl,
I have never fished Lake Moultrie and haven't seen a whole lot of posts on it here but I am attaching a link for the boat landings there.
It may be a good investment to hire a crappie guide for a 1/2 or full day the first day there to get a idea on best methods, depths, etc. It is a great place for big Crappie.
Watch the weather because it can get real rough really quickly on Moultrie due to relatively shallow depth.

Thank you Satoma. I will PM you with my results. I only had one other response. Thank you again.
Yeah sory cant help, let me know if you need help with lake wateree.
Blacks camp on the canal is a good place and they also have excellent guides. Just from watching utube videos most fish are probably caught on deep brush piles. Give them a call and they can clue you in on where they are.
Thanks and if you ever need any help on a Georgia Lake let me know.
As stated, deep brush is excellent this time of year. Long line trolling is another option as well. Never tried it in the fall, but good results trolling are had in the spring. Angles landing is good, or any of the canal landings. Again, as stated, if there is any wind, that lake will become an ocean. It's round, wide open, and shallow. Under water stumps are also a possible obstacle in certain areas of the lake.
Mr. Earl, post your results on here for all of us to enjoy. Take lots of pictures and post them too.
We like to hear about every ones fishing trips and see their catches. Best of luck to you. I've fished the upper lake but not the lower lake...yet!
