Public Ramp (off 301 by Post Office rd)
Lochloosa, Fl

5,500 acres of water from 15 - 2 ft deep.

Water 3 ft higher than normal due to Hurricane Irma
Orange lake will be OFF Limits due to high water.

Twenty-three (23) teams fished Lochloosa last year with
Ricky Williams taking honors for big fish & total 7 fish wgt.
Big Fish 1 lb 15.5 oz & 7 fish catch wgt of 8 lbs 2.3 oz

To date several on pre-fish have said they are catching limit -
which with water high is great compared to other parts of state.

Lochloosa Harbor will have minnows & at this time no idea of room

Have had 4 reports this weekend regarding bite at Lochloosa = all reports were in the POSITIVE note
Nothing of 2lbs plus, but, but most all caught were in the 3/4 lb - to 1lb 5 -6 oz range - this is good.
Water is high but a boat can be launched from Lochloosa Harbor and/Public boat ramp off 301 by the Post Office

Rumor has it that a 2 pounder was taken early yesterday (Sunday) morning by one of our group
that resides north of Leesburg - Could not get out of them if they were lone-ling or spider rigging -
minnow tipped - or jig - crankbait...............
One of cases where asked to many questions and they got lock jaw..............

Do the tournaments still start at 7:00 AM? Also at the public ramp you have to walk thru a few feet of water to get onto the dock.

You are correct, water is still high - fishing has been pretty good ...

Public ramp will be weigh in area - launch area or unless you tell Darryl or myself you are launching from
different location. ( Lochloosa Harbor Fish Camp etc)

Tournaments - put you poles in water at 7:am - poles out of water at 2:30pm
Can leave dock after sign in at will of Tournament director -
