We decided Friday evening would be a good time to do a little dock shooting, so off to an area with some deeper water docks. What we found was a kajillion (more or less) bait fish! They were everywhere. I have always heard that if you find the bait, the crappie are near. I have a question. With a never ending buffet, why would they want my jig? I just assume because it's different? Anyway, we did some catching, but it was one here and one there. It was a lot of fun, and good times are getting closer! Water temps yesterday evening were 74-75 degrees. Most fish came from 8-12 feet deep, regardless of water depth. Shooting and letting it free fall was the best method I found. I never did feel a bite, just saw the line go slack. The only problem, it's dark at 7:30! The best part, I didn't see a jet ski!Attachment 276281
