Good report
Glad you got out for a early morning trip ! Congrats
I've been meaning to give the dam a try for years.
Thanks for the report!
Did you fish on the wall or below there?
I put in at the dam yesterday afternoon and fished the Paint Rock river until about 7:30 PM. I was expecting some action at the mouth of the creek whether it be crappie or stripe but I got skunked. Water temp was still 78.something
Yeah the water temp still up. I always start my fall run at the damn fishing from the along the wall. Caught alot of small ones the big ems will be in soon

Good job! Few people know how to fish for crappie below dams. It's a different art. I have had a boat for a while now and don't fish for them much at the dam anymore. We used to use a small float and they wouldn't take it under it would roll up. There's still some old timers that fish that way below Neely Henry dam.

Nice report.
That's a great fishery and a lot of fun because of all the different fish you can pick up in there. Congrats on getting the new boat out and finding some fish.
Congrats!
