I was looking for info on the SC Crappie Association. They have a facebook page and have the tournament schedule. I am looking for info on how to join and where the pre-tournament meetings are held. Thanks for any information.

Hey Harley, I'm a member of SCCA along with a few others on here. The pre-tournament meetings are held the Wednesday night before the tournament in Chapin, but it's not necessarily a requirement to attend all the meetings. They generally discuss any changes to the schedule as well as set upcoming events and weigh-in sites. They also determine payouts based on the number of folks signed up.
You can always get in touch with the president of the club and mail your entry fee to him. A lot folks opt to mail in their entry if they live too far out the way for the meeting. Others turn theirs in at the meeting. I believe the Wednesday before the tournament is the deadline for signing up.
If you send a message on Facebook I'm certain they'll get back with you and provide you all the info you'll need. One things for sure, it's a fine bunch of guys and gals running and fishing in SCCA.

Harley,
Derek is correct on the info he gave you, we fish with them also, and I mail our fee's in. The next tourney is on Greenwood OCT. 28th, so you got plenty of time to get your stuff straight, you'll need to pay $25 membership fee/ team member. and then $150/tourney and Wednesday before the Saturday tournament is the deadline for entry without late fee, no pay day of tourney if I remember right. Come on out and fish with us, these folks have taught me way more than I ever knew about crappie fishing. Not to mention even tournament day help from time to time also.
