Got some BOBY Garland jig body in packs. Should I put them in my plannno type organized boxes (my collection) or keep them in their packs? Will they dry out? They have a film or infused on them. Does anyone have organizers for jig body packs. Pictures welcomed

I keep mine in the original packs. I bought a Plastic box at wally world that has a lid that has latches on each end to secure it. The box is a little larger than a shoe box. I just line them up in the box and store it under the front deck of my boat.
I do the same thing although I do have to sort to get the color I .want
I prefer to keep them in their original packs, regardless of brand. Reason being, I've had some "custom made" ones that came with some form of an "oil" on them, presumably to keep them from melting together or "drying out" or whatever. The problem is when placed in plastic ziplock type bags .... the "oil" tends to cause the plastic bags to come apart at the seams, allowing the oil to leak. Now, I'm not aware of this happening to commercially made plastics, but they are usually packaged in heavier mil plastic containers. For those plastics that do not have any such oil on them or are packaged with salt (and/or impregnated with it), no such problem with the ziplock bags exists.
I do have some Plano tackle boxes that have had loose plastics in them, divided by the plastic insert dividers from others, and they have not "dried out" ... nor have they done any damage to the tackle box or dividers. They have, however, melted the paint from other baits they've been allowed to come in contact with for a period of time. Otherwise, even though there are many of them over 30yrs old, they are still as usable as when purchased. But, if I remember correctly ... they were dry in their original packaging, before being placed into the tackle box.
My experiences with these plastics has taught me to keep them in the original package as long as possible, especially if they have an oil film or are packaged in added oil. It also helps me remember the brand and color name for quicker/easier replacement.

I like the worm binders with reinforced zip lock type bags. Easy to organize, can add pages, Just like turning the pages of a book to get to what you want.
Main thing with any plastic is to keep them out of the heat and direct sunlight. UV Ray’s will fade the colors and the heat will melt them over time. In other words no matter what you store them in bring them inside when your done fishing. Also most generally the oil on them is mineral oil and is used to keep them from sticking together.
Mine stay in the pack until they go on a jig head. Same with all plastics, not just BG's or crappie jigs. They'll last longer because the oil stays on them.
i have lots of the BG plastics and i like to take all with me , i fish from the bank so i load up several large zip lock bags with colors that are compatible and throw the bags in my back pack. I keep the baits in their original package and store the packages in the zip lock bags. seems to work for me, been doing this for several years now.
I got tired of digging through the packs so I got me one them big bags that holds 7 Plano 3700 boxes have had them in the boxes over a year now .no problem so far and much much easier than digging through the packs.
