Summertime returned and I skipped out last week despite having a day I could have went on Friday. Thought my luck might have changed after losing those fish last trip but today was worse. Well didn't lose any that will haunt me but having serious issues keeping fish buttoned up. Have the utmost confidence in my gear, fish are just biting kind of funny right now and I am not doing a great job driving the hook home. But after hooking 30-35 keepers I managed to finish off a limit. Maybe next time summer will be gone and I will quit losing fish.

I found em biting funny last week on Barren too. I had to keep the bait moving up and down and set the hook when it got heavy. Not many thumpers.
