Where to start??

OK guys, been fishing all my life, wading creeks, cane polein for catfish, got older and got into the bass fishing, got burnt out, so now i want to try my hand at crappie fishin at 55 years old, caught many crappie before, but want to try different avenues, I have recently bought rods, reels,made t-bars, transport racks and even a double seat stand so my partner can go,
So now that all is done its time to go fishing,
My plans for this weekend is going go Bear Creek on the Tn River. I want to spider rig some and also single pole the docks,
My question is ,
Where do i start, I have fished it before and have several spots marked on HB.
Do you fish the docks early or do the spider rigging early and then do the docks as the day heats up??
Dont know the pattern of crappie as the day unfolds,
Thinking shallower early and then go deeper as day progresses,
Any thoughts on this would be appreciated,

We have fished Bear creek once. Joel told me where to go from Mills creek landing.

Yea, I fished it back during the hot summer(with no luck), but things should start to improved but just havent fished the big water enough to figure em out, anyway Im gonna kill the day up their tomorrow,
