Have eaten a few drum dang good eating.
if you grilled fish they are one of the best fish to grill !!!
I've eaten them, back when I was a teen ... small ones aren't too bad, but larger ones are pretty "fishy" tasting, best I can remember. They were always "skillet fried" whole (no head, scales, or guts) and dusted with yellow corn meal (which is how most all fish were done around here, back in those days).
If I catch'em now ... regardless of size ... they go right back into the water. :biggrin
I've seen people on several travel shows eating Buffalo Fish Ribs. ALL said they were wonderful.
Yeah .... that seems to be the standard case for most edible non-game type fish like Drum, Asian Carp, Buffalo, Common Carp, etc. As long as it's hot, it's not all that bad, but let it get cold .... uh, no thanks !! Heck, I'm not even a big fan of cold Crappie nonono :Rofl
