INBOARD TROLLING MOTOR
I'm tired of sliding my Terrova TM back and forth when nosing up to the dock, putting on the cover, loading on the trailer, and other reasons I can't think of on my pontoon. I'm thinking of moving TM just inside of the pontoon frame and cut a hole in the floor for deployment. I would like to hear your opinion. Here is some advantage and disadvantages I have come up with:
ADVANTAGES, DISADVANTAGES
Permanent installation, water coming thru hole
Hide all excess wiring, space between seats a little tighter but ok
cover support, will si and 360 transducer work?
keep front gate closed
The 360 and si interference with the pontoons is the deal breaker as of now. I'm hoping by lowering the transducers below the pontoons will work out ok.
What do think?

Well I had the advantages and disadvantages space apart. Not sure have to go back and correct that.

TrollMayte (spelling probably wrong) makes a special plate for this.

Linear actuator and a remote switch would do it. You would need to make room for the actuator as the length of the actuator depends on how far you move something. This arrangement would be for lazies like myself. I raise and lower transducers on my Jon Boat and my Pondtoon using these actuators. You could also use a screw drive motor arrangement.
NOTE:
The troll motor would need to be mounted on a slide type plate.

I have videos showing how this actuator stuff works, but Photobucket is holding them for ransom money. Crooks.
