Big Sandy area
Any advice on where to stay and an area to start out fishing between Paris Landing and Big Sandy. I normally spider rig at Reelfoot but thinking about doing a short trip with the wife Thursday through Saturday. I haven't fished in that area since the late 70's when I was with a fraternity brother whose folks owned Mansard Island at that time. It's supposed to be cooler, I guess the bite could not be too good?

I'm thinking the same thing. My wife and I are wanting to go camping and fishing nexr weekend and I have been debating on a couple of spots, one being around Big Sandy. I believe that there is a campground called Country Junction close by.

Fishtale Lodge is a good place on Hwy 70 near Paris Landing. Pleasant View Resort in Springville is also a nice roosting place. PVR is near the pumphouse on West Sandy Creek, about a mile from where we are located. I have never "stays" there personally, but I have visited folks on c.com when they were there. I am comfortable recommending either place.
Yes, Country Junction has a campground and it is decent. Brenda and I cruise thru the area on our Polaris and eat hamburgers at the Country Junction Store. We have been hanging out around here since we both were kids. Some of our friends live in this area. Of course, we all ave a red glow around our necks.
