I did a border raid on you guys! I let you have all summer to get them cleaned out, but you left WAY to many!!! We caught lots of fish. we fished anything that was visible. fished 2-10'. minnows worked best on a drop shot, but jigs did too. we had 4 fish from 1.70-1.95. lots of short fish. We kept all the large fish for picture, then let them go.

Thanks for the report and pictures. Looks like a great time... Every time I head out that way I end up pond fishing for bass. Love that river though... Its a shame they gave up on the ramp and campgrounds on the other side of the river. It cut off a lot of miles for me.
Heck I've just been coming out there to chase ducks. May have to bring my rods next time.

Can you not put in at the camp grounds at Card creek any more. Where is the closest ramp to put in at now if your coming from Wichita.
Just got back in town skeeter96. Yes , Card Creek is the place to put in. We drove down to the ramp Friday afternoon about 5:45pm. The ramp is clean and the water looked fantastic; just one truck and trailer in the parking lot. Its a tad low which makes it easier to spot the stumps. There use to be a ramp on the other side of the river you could get to by cutting east at Elk City ; making several miles closer. I guess they got tired of cleaning and maintaining the ramp, restrooms and small campground area after floods.
